The Simway application release event was held at Buffalo Mall in Naivasha on Friday, January 27th.
About 350 CHVs attended the event to listen to what is Simway app, how to use it, and how obesity epidemic is growing in Kenya.
Also people in The Department of Health Services, Nakuru County, Naivasha Sub-county, Deputy governor in Nakuru, participated and in the event and delivered some speech.
The Guest list is: the County Governor, Kinuthia Mbugua as keynote speaker; Deputy Governor, Joseph Ruto; Chief Executive Member for Health, Dr. Kabii Mungai; the Chief Officer Health Services, Dr. Samuel Mwaura, and other people.
As a media personality, Kalekye Mumo was on stage.
In the part of talk session she talked with Ms Gladys Mugamni, Head of Nutrition, Ministry of Health and Christine Kihara, County Nutrition Officer.
Obesity in Kenya has become a major concern due to the high proportion of people with the condition, says Mugambi during the discussion.
After the talk in the morning, dancers came on the stage and started dancing.
The atmosphere was also filled with livery conversation in a warm inviting setting.
At the end of this event, the chief Executive Member of Health, Dr. Kabii Mungai, signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Cancer Scan CEO Jun Fukuyoshi.
